Tour Itinerary
Day1:Arrival at Srinagar Airport. LOCALS
On Arrival at Srinagar Airport, our representative cum driver will meet and greet you in Kashmir. After morning breakfast, visit the Shankar-acharya temple (Shiva temple), which commands one of the magnificent views of the Srinagar City and the lakes. Also, sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting NishatBagh (Abode of Pleasure) built by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Emperor Jehangir in 1632AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love) was built by Jehangir for his wife, Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountain in the background. The distance from Srinagar to the said gardens is about 12 and 15 km, respectively. En route, visit a carpet-weaving factory. Also, witnessed walnut woodcarving and paper machine-making demonstrations. Overnight stay in Srinagar Hotel.
Nishat Garden:-
Located on the bank of the Dal Lake, with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop, Nishat Bagh is a garden of bliss that commands a magnificent view of the lake beneath the snowcapped Pir Panjal mountain range that stands far away to the west of the valley. The Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, elder brother of Nur Jehan.
Shalimar Garden:-
The Shalimar Bagh is the celebrated royal garden of Kashmir. Emperor Jahangir was so fascinated with the garden that he called it “one of the sights of Kashmir.”
Shalimar Bagh is located on the northeast side of Lake Dal, approximately fifteen kilometres from the centre of Srinagar. Jahangir laid it out as Farah Baksh (“the delightful”) in 1619 while he was founding the city of Srinagar.
Cheshma Shahi
Cheshma Shahi ( the royal spring), also called Cheshma Shahi, is one of the Mughal gardens built around a spring by Ali Mardan, a governor of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, in 1632. The garden is in the Zaberwan Range, near Rajbhawan (Governor‘s house), overlooking Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir.
Day 2:- Srinagar to Gulmarg –Day Trip.
In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Gulmarg (55kms/ 2.5hrs). You will visit the Golf Club, Strawberry Valley and Nageen Valley. Don’t miss the chance to explore the Maharaja Palace. Then enjoy an exhilarating Gondola Cable Car ride. Finally, we will head back to Srinagar for dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 3:- Srinagar/Pahalgam/Srinagar (190 km return)
After breakfast, a full-day trip to Pahalgam (valley of shepherds). The distance of about 95 km will be covered in about 3 hrs. Route, visit Saffron fields, Awantipora ruins (1100, the old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiverma), and Mattan (Holly fish Shiva Temple), see the beautiful countryside on the way and a lot of rice fields. Drive through pine forests. Arrive in Pahalgam and transfer to the hotel. Later, have bridlewalks and feed your cameras with pictures of magnificent views of mountains. Pahalgam is visiting Chandanwari (snow bridges) or Aru on ponies (at your own cost). Late evening drive back to Srinagar. Overnight stay in Deluxe Houseboat.
- Betaab Valley:-
Betaab Valley is a very famous tourist spot situated at a distance of 15 kilometres from Pahalgam. The valley was named after the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. The Valley is northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwari and is en route to Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley is surrounded by lush green meadows and snow-clad mountains and is covered with dense vegetation.
- Aru Valley:-
Aru is located around 12 from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies on the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder River.
- Chandanwari:-
Chandanwari is situated 16 km from Pahalgam; Chandanwari is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place every year in the month of Sawan (Rain). It is famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge.
Day 4: -Srinagar Airport Drop.
After breakfast, Transfer in time to the airport to connect to the onward destination flight.
